Taxico can provide wheelchair access vehicles -
24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
Here at Hunter Valley Taxico we can provide IN-Patient transport between medical facilities, Couriers for pathology and imaging, and Non-emergency health-related transport for eligible passengers.
We are also an accredited provider of medical transport for Veterans card-holders.
Subsidies for taxi transport are available through the NSW taxi transport subsidy scheme which pays 50% of the fare up to the value of $60, ie the passenger pays $30, the government provides a $30 subsidy.
This scheme is open to persons whose condition is:
- Confined to a wheelchair
- Severe and permanent abulatory problems
- Severe and permanent impairment of vision
- Severe and uncontrollable epilepsy
- Intellectual disability
- Dementia
- Other function disabilities - e.g. communication, difficulty making the person incapable of using public transport without assistance.
